Historic Longboard Races
Every January, February and March on the third Sunday of the month, the Historic Longboard Revival Series Downhill Ski Races are run and won in the historic town of Johnsville. Participants wax their skis with secret recipes of "Dope." In the early 1850's, gold miners and pioneers of Johnsville, CA began the Longboard tradition. A two-seater chairlift from Squaw Valley's 1960's Winter Olympics will be readied for winter of 2016 ski season.
